Research Notes: Jankel arrived with Fanny Boguslawsky and her daughter Nany, also from "Charhom." Beider has the Boguslavskijs from Cherkassy, Chigirin, and Poltava Gubernia, all in the Ukraine. The town of Boguslav is in Kanev District. 2 3 Noted events in his life were: 1. Residence, 1892, "Charhom." 2 2. Embarkation, Jul 24, 1892, Hamburg. 2 3. Immigration, Aug 6, 1892, Ellis Island, New York. 2 Jankel arrived aboard the SS Suevia out of Hamburg. He was a locksmith. 4. Residence, Aug 1901, 51 Canal St., New York. 1 Jankel married Channa. (Channa was born in 1867 in Russia 2.) |
