Theresa COOPER (1893-1967) |
Theresa COOPER 2 3
Theresa and Archie ran a department store in Madison, S. Dakota, where William Saul Bloom's son Joe worked during the Depression. There is a family story about Joe's encounter with bandits in the wilds of South Dakota. One can imagine the incongruity of a recent graduate of the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science riding around on his bicycle in an area that had only become a state in 1889. Theresa and Archie left for Phoenix upon the death of their son in 1944 on Leyte Island in the Philippines.
Theresa's immigration records have her as 10 months old in September of 1894. 5
