   Other names for Rebecca were Rivka Lifshe, Lifsche FRENKEL and Lillian SCHAFF.

  Research Notes:

Harry's birth certificate has "Beckie Franklin," apparently incorrectly. The name "Rebecca" appears on the US Census of 1910, as well as the back of a photograph of Samuel, Rebecca, Harry, and Nathan. Harry's SS-5 has Rebecca Schaff. The tombstone at Har Jehuda has Rebecca on the front and Rivka Lifshe on the back. Lois Sernoff has "Riva Lifsha" from an informant, her cousin Betty. Robert Franklin recalls an aunt named "Reva Lifsche."

The manifest from 1902 has Lifshe's age as 23. Rebecca's death certificate has her age as 50 on Dec 5, 1932. Her tombstone has 51.
