| Fishel HANOKH
(1790-Bef 1863) |
Fishel HANOKH 1Other names for Fishel were Fishel HENECH and Fishel HONOKH. General Notes: I have heard from Christine (Robin) Milner in England, who appears to be a direct descendant of Bashe Hanoch, the sister of Joseph Benjamin Bloom and husband of Abel Rubin. It now seems likely that the family seat of the descendants of Fishel Hanoch was at a town called Svile just northeast of Saukenai, Lithuania. There is a relatively famous spring there, Svile Spring, in what is now a regional park. Noted events in his life were: 1. Residence, May 1846, Saukenai, Siauliai, Kaunas, [Lithuania], Russian Empire. 1 4 Fishel was a rich town dweller. He was a box taxpayer. 2. Residence, May 28, 1858, Raseiniai, Kaunas, [Lithuania], Russian Empire. 5 Fishel is listed at Saukenai as having moved to "Raseniai." 3. Employment, Mar 14, 1860, Siauliai, Siauliai, Kaunas, [Lithuania], Russian Empire. 1 6 "Farmer. Manager of the real estate which belonged to the Baliutovich family. Owns 180 desiatinas (1 des.=2.7 acres) Village of Shumilki, Saukeniai region; 2 males, 1 female in family." Fishel married Beile, daughter of Abram and Unknown. (Beile was born about 1794 2.) |
