January 24, 2005: I have made contact with the Hanocks of Chicago by way of a descendant of Chaim Hanoch, the first cousin of Joseph Benjamin (Bloom) Hanoch.

4. Immigration, Jul 19, 1889, Castle Garden, New York, New York. ³ Chaim arrived on the SS Trave out of Bremen. He is listed as a farmer. His age is given as 60. Ancestry has him indexed as "Cajem Canoch."

Chaim married Leah RAYVID, daughter of Wolf RAYVID and Unknown. (Leah RAYVID was born in 1828 in [Lithuania], Russian Empire ^{1 3}.)
