  General Notes:

The site of West Baltimore General Hospital was earlier that of the Hebrew Orphan Asylum and later that of Lutheran Hospital.

In the census of 1910, the middle initial of ALL family members is given as "F".

The section of York Road on which Morris and his family lived and did business apparently became Greenspring Avenue sometime around 1913. 7

  Research Notes:

Morris appears to have been named after his father, highly unusual in Jewish families. The implication is that his father died before he was born.

Morris's date of birth is given on his death certificate as May 15, 1868. It appears in the census of 1900 as May 1872.

Morris appears in the Baltimore Directory of 1928. 1 8
