The S.S. Pennsylvania manifest has Szewczynski, apparently using Czech or Polish orthography. Birth appears to be about 1871 according to the manifest, in contradiction to the tombstone, which implies about 1874. ⁶

1. Embarkation, Aug 27, 1904, Hamburg. ¹ Rebecca sailed on the SS Pennsylvania of the Hamburg-American Line.

2. Immigration, Sep 8, 1904, New York City. ² Rebecca arrived aboard the S.S. Pennsylvania from Hamburg. She had $175 with her. The date of arrival has been changed from the 7th to the 8th or the 8th to the 7th on the manifest.

3. Residence, Apr 16, 1910, 329 Bainbridge Street, Philadelphia. ⁷
