   Other names for Fay were Faegi, Fagie, Fannie and Fanny.

  Research Notes:

At least two photographs in the collection left by Fay to her son Stephen are addressed on the back to "Fanny." Apparently, "Fanny" was more than simply an error on Fay's birth certificate. Fay's name is given as Fannie in the census of 1930. ^{9 10}
