Legal Encounter, Oct 5, 1904, Sioux City, Iowa. 3 Mr. Fred J. Magerstadt found $700 worth of stolen rugs, from his store on Ashland Ave. in Chicago, in the store of Louis Geffen in Sioux City. Mr. Magerstadt was accompanied by Inspector Shippy of Chicago. There is no indication who the "suspected thieves" were, though they had been captured. There is also no indication how the police managed to track the rugs to Iowa. Louis married Rose KUSHNER. Louis next married Sophie SINGER, daughter of Unknown and BARRICKS, in 1898. (Sophie SINGER was born in Apr 1867 in Russia 2 and died on Oct 22, 1941 in Los Angeles County, Calif 4.) |
